I hope you are bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning and by now you are hopefully thinking about being a little more conscious of what goes on in your weekend activities and festivities.
If you had a “Good Christmas” so to speak and signed up to a:
PT contract (whoop whoop)
Gym with a hot-tub (yawn…boring)
Then that response is great and that is 1% of you getting your results….A bit like how they’d give you 1% for writing your name on an exam paper at school.
So now we need to make sure we are attending and getting around our own excuses with a skill i like to call Self-Problem-Solvability!!!!
That might sound obvious right? However many do not have this “ability” sometimes due to themselves, possible a bit of parental smothering early doors, or perhaps media scaredom or just pure an’ simple LAZYNESS…. Yes LAZYNESS
So make sure you are well prepared to get results and leave excuses dead and buried.
Some excuses we encountered this week:
1) The snow means i cannot drive (down an A road that is clear)
2) I didn’t get results because i ate rubbish at the weekend and drank wine for 2-3 days and because i had the first bit of rubbish i couldn’t stop myself…….(Hey i like a beer or 2 some weekends, a bk whopper, however i know it won’t make a dent in my fitness because its the exception not the rule).
3) I didn’t exercise for over a week because i had a common cold. (Believe me, If you actually train a bit at around 60% intensity with plenty of rest between sets in the warm and get some fresh air walking….. That cold ain’t gonna hang about too long. Try it, at the Limitless Gym we call it the “Self-Employed-Cannot-Afford-To-Go-Down-To-Manflu-60%-Workout”.
Today i have a video of some bootcampers training who certainly DO NOT use excuses (anymore) and are well on their way if not already able to rock their summer bikini or sexy little valentine’s dress.
What’s especially heartening about this video is that all of these now hardcore boot-campers have started out unfit and needing to get in shape. They would admit to sometimes also making the odd excuse in the past (like we all have) for not training / eating well. One thing is for sure…They all are looking great and feeling great all year round and not just on their summer holiday.
Congrats Julie, Julie, Della and Shirley!!!
